Pregnant Woman Vs. Food | Mesha's Pregnancy Journey (Week 17)
Monday August 6th, 2018
I had rough night of sleeping last night, woke up at 2 so hot and uncomfortable and then of course had to pee a bunch. Peeing all the time seems to be the story of my life these days.
I started to feel some anxiety laying in bed. Why? I don’t know. My heart was beating so hard and I felt so antsy like I could go and run a mile or something. I went pee again and then decided to lay on the floor in our bedroom where Kiko’s dog bed is. (It’s so BIG!) I grabbed a pillow and curled up in a fetal position and it was so much cooler that I finally fell asleep. I think it's also a temperpedic dog mattress.
I woke up later around 4am a little chilly and having to pee again, got back into bed after that and slept until my alarm went off at 6:30am. I got myself out of bed after pushing snooze a few times around 7am and went right into my morning routine starting with reading my ‘100 days To Brave’ then going for a walk with the dogs.
We walked about 2.5 mile (walking/jogging) so I could be back by 8am. We hustled to get it in that fast. LOL! I came home and prepped our lunches for the day and my breakfast and snacks, packed everything to go and left the house around 9:15am, got to the gym before 9:30am. It feels like a whirlwind some mornings like it did today.
I need to make this routine smoother so I don’t feel so flustered. I am feeling a little more preggo today and everyone keeps asking me how I'm feeling. The truth is - it's really hard to smile and just answer the same questions about being pregnant over and over. My belly's getting bigger everyday, I have to use the bathroom every hour, and everyone's staring at me all the time. Let's just say some days are better than others LOL!
Tuesday August 7th, 2018
Had a much better sleep last night because I had a fan on me the entire time. It's been hot plus my body temperature has been a lot hotter then normal making this baby! When I wake up, I see Albert on the very edge of the bed with no covers on because he says my body heat makes him sweat at night LOL.
A good night's rest left me with more energy and today my friend Mary joined me on my morning walk with the pups (she brought Jake too!). We walked about 3 miles and had a good time catching up. Thankful for my friends making time to spend with me doing something that I need to during the pregnancy.
The rest of the morning was productive, got a bunch of work done at home then headed to the gym.
Was a little short on time for my training so Albert gave me programming with higher volume, lower weight that got me sweaty. It was nice to have a different stimulus and training felt good today!
Trained my 4pm and 5pm ladies then swung by Target & QFC to pick up some supplies to finish out the week. Note to self, do not go to the grocery store hungry and with pregnancy cravings.
Wednesday August 8th, 2018
Didn’t want to get out of bed today!
I felt more tired and I pushed snoozed more times than I can count. I try to make it a goal to give myself enough time to do my daily routine which consists of reading my daily affirmation, a little journal writing, prep lunches and my breakfast/snacks for the day and also have enough time to get ready and out the door by 9am.
So far this week... I’ve struggled every single day. I feel like I'm moving really slow LOL!
Felt a little off and I could definitely feel a difference in my body today during my training session.
I did 6 back squats every 3 min for 12 minutes and it didn’t feel heavy but I noticed that I was unable to hold any tension anywhere. I videoed myself and saw my butt wink on almost every rep but I couldn’t feel anything. Felt my legs and glutes fired up which was normal but nothing in the core.
Such a weird feeling.
The rest of my training (tbar row and shoulders/triceps) all felt good. I was getting really hungry and as soon as I finished my training session, I ate my lunch right away.
Later in the day, I started to feel a little crampy and then all of a sudden I got super tired and uncomfortable. After class I had to sit down in the office bc the cramps just felt worse and weird. My body is changing, things are happening, and I'm doing my best to roll with it. It's crazy because I know my body so well from being pretty consistent over the last two years and now it's all changing.
My belly is officially bigger!!! And i need to get some comfortable clothes here very soon. When I got home I tried to lay down and relax. Why is that so hard to do? Lol.
Thursday August 9th, 2018
Energy was feeling pretty good today and was thankful for that because I had a lot of work and things on my to-do list for the day. My cramping let up and I felt like I could really have a normal day so as soon as I got out of bed, I was ready.
Took the pups for "our" daily walk, I need it as much as they do these days (2.5-3 miles) and got through my morning routine flawlessly. Spent the rest of the morning emailing and getting some things done around the house.
The only thing that's giving me and I know Albert a lot of anxiety/stress is the fact that his Dad is still in the Hospital. Albert's been driving down to tacoma every other day to be with him at the hospital, hoping for the best.
Had a great training session and finished off with 100 calories on the assault bike.
4pm and 5pm finished up some coaching and had a meeting at 6pm.
Friday August 10th, 2018
Slept pretty good which set me up for a good morning.
Fridays are nice because I get to have more time to get through my morning routine and we spend most of the day working from home. Finished walking the pups and got an important phone call with a Nutrition company to see if some of there of there software services would be a good fit for our gym.
It's never easy trying to make big decisions that can impact the business but I asked a lot of questions and really decided that the product and services didn't fit our vision/business model. Always nice to be able to talk to my business partner, Albert, because he's usually right next to me working too LOL.
After some morning emails, we had some errands planned and one of them included me getting some new pants! Yes, it's come to the point where I need some new Lulu pants in a size up so I can move better and most importantly breathe! LOL
Lulu was success, just picked up some of my go-to pants in a size up - they didn't have the color I wanted so I think we'll have to go to southcenter again - and Albert even bought some shorts for golfing which is a big deal considering it's his first Lululemon purchase ever.
After the mall, we were starving and because we've been watching Terrace house on Netflix, I was craving Yakinuk so we headed to Gyu-Kaku in Bellevue for Lunch. It's different from the one in Hawaii but it hit the spot plus it was happy hour.
We both waddled out of there!

Today was our annual Reign Fitness Potluck at Lake Boren and it was so much fun!
The weather held up... So thankful that it didn't rain.
Spent the day hanging out with our community, friends, and extended family. And of course as always, we ate amazing food. I was a little bummed that I couldn't try everything with pregnancy limitations but there were plenty of other delicious things that I could eat.
I remember the first time we did a Reign get summer get together, it was at one of Albert's clients homes and it was like 15-20 of us. Feeling incredibly blessed to be a part of such an amazing community now. Felt special today to see all of the members, their kids, and even pets just hanging out.
Sunday August 12th, 2018
Started the day by heading to the gym to train and work off some of that food from yesterday!
Love getting time to train on the weekends with just Albert. We're not rushed, not focusing on work, there's no distractions, and we can just train. Thankful to get in a great workout.
After the workout I was starving and because we needed to run a couple errands before heading to my little cousins birthday party, we decided eat out for lunch. Din Tai Fung for dumplings and some pork chop fried rice hit the Spot! My macros have been completely off this weekend but I'm still tracking and doing my best. Cravings are real and baby park is hungry!
We stopped by Lulu at Southcenter I picked up pants in a bigger size! It's always so nice to go into the Southcenter Lulu and be able to say hi to everyone. The girls there are awesome!
After the mall we headed over to my Auntie's house in Kent for my little cousin's 12th birthday and of course there was a feast, filipino style. It was nice to have a variety of different food so that I could try a little bit of everything.
Absolutely exhausted after this weekend, I was falling asleep on the way home.
