Indigestion & Sister Date | Mesha's Pregnancy Journal (Week 21)

Monday, September 3rd (LABOR DAY!)

Can’t believe I am 21 WEEKS today!

Baby Park is as big as an Endive, weighing 12.7 ounces and is 10.5 inches long.

There is no other way I’d rather start this week than with our Reign Fam! Today felt like the good ol’ days when Albert and I would coach classes together. It was fun to see everyone come in for a great sweaty workout in honor of Labor Day!

Today was also our 2 year wedding anniversary! Can't believe it's gone by so fast. I'm so thankful that we are blessed with something special this year.

After coaching classes, we walked the dogs almost 3 miles and since it was a holiday we treated them to some yummy puppiccinos! They love them so much.

Then we headed to Albert’s parents house for lunch. Momma Park (well the original momma park) made a whole Korean spread of some of my favorite dishes: Kimchee, Beef Bulgogi, Japchae, Tempura Shrimp, Mandoo and this chicken potato dish. I always love eating her homemade Korean food because it's healthy, there is always a variety of vegetables, and it’s made with love.

What a productive day!

I started my day walking the pups 2 miles to get some exercise in, especially after all the food I ate yesterday. I feel like I have created myself a pretty good Tuesday and Thursday schedule so I can work from home most of the day and spend time responding to emails. My nutrition clients are a huge priority to me, and spending quality - uninterrupted time responding to their check-ins is where I really invest in coaching them.

I did feel a little stressed today, but I think it is just because I am feeling a little hormonal. My belly feels bigger, my boobs hurt, I have heartburn and indigestion, I hate washing my hair —> it keeps falling out! Have you seen the weird baby hairs I got going on? Or the frizz?

Ending on a sweet note, Mi & Jimmy surprised us on their way home from the airport with some yummy Honolulu Cookie Company shortbread cookies, dog treats for the pups and the cutest little sand pail and shovel for our baby park!

So thoughtful of them to think of us and Baby Park on their vacation in Hawaii.

Happy Hump Day!

Boy was it a busy day but my workout today felt so good. I am feeling really strong having the ability to still do single arm dumbbell rows at 65lbs and pull-ups! With my weight hovering around 137lbs it feels like I am definitely wearing a weight vest.

Tonight, I went over to Seon’s house for a Baby Shower Planning dinner with both Mary and Seon. They are the sweetest and I am so thankful to have them in my life. I know they are going to put on an amazing beautiful Baby Shower!

For dinner, I picked up Thai food and Mary picked up Boba Tea for all of us. The last time I had Boba tea was when I was in my early 20’s I think? I swear I am Asian! I did have a tough time eating due to indigestion again.

I woke up feeling off today.

Do you ever have one of those days where you just feel tired, stressed and don't want to do anything? Today was one of those days, BUT I did force myself to get outside and walk Kiko and Ranger 2.5 miles and that helped with my mood quite a bit.

Since I didn’t really feel like doing a WOD or lifting, I hopped on the bike to burn 100 cals. Andrea surprised me with donuts from Blue Star all the way in Portland. Definitely hit the spot but it always tastes better when you work for them.

It's the first Friday of the month and that means it’s Reign First Friday!

I always love going to the morning classes to see everyone, pick up coffee, donuts and fruit and hop into class for a workout. It really does mean so much for me to still be able to be a part of this special event we hold to celebrate our community.

We also had our 21 Week Check-Up today and got to listen to our Baby girls heartbeat. We are incredibly thankful she is strong and healthy.

After the docs appointment, Albert and I we went to Woods Coffee so I could indulge in a Vanilla latte and later walked the dogs together. I was exhausted from the early morning and fell asleep on the couch while trying to watch a movie (this has been something that I've been guilty off a lot these days…) but I did experience some horrible cramping that kept waking me up.

The general rule I've been following is drinking water and then laying on your side. It does seem to help but sometimes being pregnant is just rough.

Today was all about spending quality time with my sister Divina as a celebration for her birthday. We first stopped by Lululemon Southcenter because they asked me to come in to pick up a surprise they had for me. It was the cutest all pink everything gift.

We then made our way to Capitol Hill to have brunch at Plum Bistro which is a Vegan restaurant. I ordered the french toast and Divina ordered the waffles so we can taste and share. It was pretty good considering everything was Vegan.

We had a great time together walking around Capitol Hill, taking photos and finding some hidden gem places where I found homemade pastries, cookies and yummy coffee. We ended our sister date with a Paint Date! It was so much fun and I really enjoyed this experience together.

When I got home, I decided to make Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins along with Banana Muffins with no chocolate to bring over to Chris and Ceybom's tomorrow for the Seahawks game. I really do enjoy baking and I can’t wait to bake cookies and goodies for our little family soon!

Sunday, September 9th, 2018

Woke up early and walked to Starbucks with the dogs. (Kind of becoming our thing right now) Really nice to have walking the dogs during this pregnancy, I know I've mentioned it before, but it really is both exercise and therapy for me.

Seahawks Sunday Game at Chris & Ceybom’s house, Potluck Style!

Nothing like eating a variety of foods: We had Pizza, Thai food and fried chicken with friends.

I love seeing Jackson, babies grow so fast and he is the cutest.

My "in the moment" thought for today is that friendships flourish when breaking bread, sharing stories and spending quality time together.
